Superb first edition of Dryden's reworking of Shakespeare's play first printed in 1679. This copy printed for Jacob Tonson at the Judges Head in Chancery Lane near Fleet Street and Abel Swall at the Unicorn at the Well End of St Pauls in 1679. The full title is 'Troilus and Cressida or truth found too late, a tragedy as it is acted at the Dukes Theatre to which is prefixed a preface containing the ground of criticism In tragedy.
